After the meeting Thomas and Mark continued going in circles around Zero Point Energy; Mark insisting that it was impossible, Thomas insisting that he couldn't understand why DoE shouldn't be encouraged to research all the possibilities no matter how unlikely.

But things became more discouraging the following day, after Thomas subscribed to the MFPE renergy discussion group.

After the contentious meeting, Rick, a sensitive, easy going fellow, who apparently lent some balance to the group, needed a respite decided to go to the mountains to unwind. While Rick was gone, a Renergy purge went on.
