3. Grassroots Strategy For A More Perfect Union

Perhaps the Internet will be the tool to alter the river's course. It was the tool, which connected MFPE with the Citizen's Peaceful Energy Plan (CPEP). CPEP is an exercise in due process of law under government "of the people, by the people, and for the people." It is aimed at influencing government policy during the important congressional process of determining policy funding. Its' organizers hope that CPEP will serve as an example of true democracy, where each and every citizen can make a positive contribution to sound government.

As the first step in the political struggle, signatures are being gathered to garner congressional support to supplement the DoE's CNES with Seven Specific Points ... far more likely than fossil fuels to accomplish the DoE's stated goal:

I. Improve the efficiency of the energy system.
II. Ensure against energy disruptions.
III. Promote energy production to reflect human health & environment values.
IV. Pursue continued progress in science & technology to provide clean and inexpensive energy sources.
V. Cooperate internationally on global issues.
