Considering the United State's insatiable energy appetite, for
better or worse, U.S. energy strategy will have a profound affect
on the future of life on earth.
In a practical sense, the world of tomorrow will be a product
of today's energy strategies. Thus, contemporary U.S. energy policy
will largely determine the ecology, economy, peace, stability,
and perhaps life itself for future generations. Primarily there
are two competing strategies, both, purportedly, pursuing similar ends.
