DON'T KNOW NOTHING MYSELF, BUT ....
Rick asked Thomas to talk about his letter from the DoE.
Thomas gave a brief presentation, focusing two specific points:
"Department of Energy scientists
and others ... have investigated zero point energy sciences....
Thus far, results clearly show that there is a net residual
energy even at the zero absolute temperature, under vacuum
conditions. A number of technical papers have been published
in respected journals stating that, theoretically, zero point
energy can be extracted from electromagnetic fluctuations of
the vacuum. Additionally, eight patents have been issued on zero
point energy, including one issued to the Air Force Rocket Propulsion
Laboratory."
"Presently, scientific
feasibility studies are in the beginning stages and the development
of a technology for energy production from ZPE may be decades
away."
"I'm not a phyiscist myself, but I guess these are
respected scientists that the DoE is talking about. So, I guess
they think there's something serious involved here, but they just
aren't given the funds to do the necessary research. If there
was funding, then scientific feasibility might be much realized
much quicker than decades. I don't see anything crazy about putting
$100 million into that kind of research, you can't even start
to by a B-2 bomber for $100 million. I don't know, maybe there's
nothing to it, but DoE doesn't seem to think that's the case,
and what's wrong with trying to find out?" Thomas
asked.
