TRYING TO GET ALONG

Thomas figured it would be a good idea to read David's most recent e-mail before going to the meeting. He was uneasy about a couple of things David wrote. David listed him prominently as a speaker, as well as Coordinator of the CPEP committee. As a brand new member of the group, Thomas thought that these two facts might seem a little presumptious to the other members.

It was an eight mile bicycle ride from D.C. to the meeting at the University in College Park, Maryland. About three blocks from campus, At David's request, Thomas stopped at a Kinko's to make copies of David's final Support Resolution, a newspaper article he'd faxed, and the letter Thomas received from the DoE. Thomas was last to arrive at the meeting.
