VOTER REGISTRATION DATA REQUESTS AND COSTS

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

This request is received by the Board of Elections and Ethics as a service to the public through the Freedom of Information Act Each month, the Board of Elections makes a computer tape copy of the voter roll and sends it to the D.C. SHARE Computer Center where it is kept on file and used to process requests from the public. SHARE uses a number of computer programs which allow you to make selections that target voters based on location, political party, age group, or voting frequency.

You may request voter roll data in the form of printouts, labels, or 9-track tape. Data is not available on floppy disks. The base fee for having data run on the computer is $50.00. You will be charged for materials (i.e., paper, labels, 9-track tape) depending on the number of records that you request. The tape is programmed in EBCDIC.
