D.J. had known Thomas about 14 years when D.J. moved to Oregon. After living in Oregon a couple of years, D,J. met Brian Michaels, a certified member of the bar, with an office in Eugene.

Several months later, D.J. returned to D.C., and told Thomas, that Brian suspected him of being a CIA plant.

"How else would Thomas get all those computers?" D.J. said Brian had reasoned.
