Dear Mr. Director,
This is a request for information made pursuant to the Freedom of
Information Act.
On February 16, 1994 the Forest Service published in the Federal
Register a proposal to amend 36 C.F.R. 251 & 261. Initially the
public comment was to end on April 18th. On April 13th, however,
the agency published notice in the Federal Register that the public
comment period would be extended until May 18th.
Request is hereby made for a log of the public comment received
by the agency with regard to that proposed rulemaking.
I would appreciate a response within the 10 working days
proscribed by law.
