BLACK FAMILIES LIVING ON A TOXIC LANDFILL

Come join national organizations and members of Concerned Citizens of the Agriculture Street Landfill Superfund Site (CCASL) to protest the refusal by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to relocate several black families who are living on top of a toxic landfill in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The families are living with several serious illnesses they link to their exposure to more than 100 contaminants poisoning the soil beneath their homes. This situation has become a national test case for the Clinton Administration's commitment to environmental justice for all.

The plight of these families alas documented on BET's "Our Voices" Program aired nationally last year.
