Dear President,

Do you remember when Chelsea was a tender little baby girl and her feet would fit into these booties I have sent with this letter? I am sure both you and Hillary loved her dearly and cared for her well, as she has grown up to be a wonderful bright young lady. I am happy for you that you have a charming daughter to love and cherish.

The purpose of this letter is to point out that the Iraqi people love their children also, and that millions of parents have stood by helplessly as their children wasted away and perished for the lack of proper nutrition and medical treatment.

The UNSCOM sanctions have proven to be a weapon of mass destruction against the innocent people of Iraq, which don’t hurt Saddam Hussein personally.

I believe I speak for millions of U.S. citizens when I say, "It’s time for America to truly stand up for human rights and justice for all humanity. Let us aspire to be an example for the nations of the world to follow. Lift the sanctions and don’t fall prey to the negative forces calling for a military strike upon the Iraqi citizens."

I pray for your well being, and that you have the strength to do your utmost to bring a civilized, humane example to the nations of the world.

Thank you, and may God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,

Richard Keyes
