Thomas P.O. Box 27217 Washington, D.C. 20038 (202) 462-0757 December 18, 1992 Sylvion Seffel Clinton Transition Team 1120 Vermont Avenue NW Washington, D.C. Dear Ms. Seffel, I am the person who returned your wallet last weekend. Tonight a friend told me that the office you are working in is the Clinton transition team. Thus, it seems, you may be as close as we're likely to come to the new president's ear anytime soon. While the Democrats may be firmly ensconced in the administrative and legislative branches, the Republicans have left an enduring, in my opinion not endearing, legacy in the judicial branch. Although the enclosed material centers on myself and close friends, please don't conclude that this is a personal problem. Those of us who have been at the center of the regulatory abuse detailed in the enclosed petition for certiorari consider our experience as an example of serious flaws in the value system of this nation, flaws greatly exacerbated by the last twelve years of might makes right governance. Flaws which threaten the free thought and expression of everyone. The audio tape is a recent Pacifica program. The newspaper articles are the first and most recent concerning our presence at the White House. Ellen, Concepcion and myself are hoping for a more congenial relationship with our neighbors-elect than that we had with our last two sets of neighbors. Perhaps you can help in this transition. In service to the God of Life and Love,
