Thomas P.O. Box 27217 Washington, D.C. 20038 (202) 462-0757 January 5, 1992 Alana Hunter 3516 S. 6th Street Arlington, Virginia 22204 Dear Alana: It was really thoughtful of you to remember us with your holiday greetings, reflective letter, and books. Thank you. Because they corresponded to the points I hoped to convey, and echoed the opinions of others who have reviewed it, your comments about my manuscript were very encouraging. Your initiative in giving it to Albert Mokhibar was great. The more people you distribute it to the better. Last night just before I left the computer, I punched in the commands to call up Joan Drake's address, so when I got here this morning her address was on my screen. When I picked up your letter this morning and realized that you mentioned showing her the manuscript -- being very fond of coincidences -- I was delighted. If no individual is capable of taking on the financial burden, perhaps enough individuals will be seriously interested in publishing the manuscript that we can get it printed through a cooperative effort. On January 8, 1991 the D.C. Board of Elections will decide whether Proposition One is a proper subject for voter initiative for the District of Columbia. Since we have already had it approved once, we are not expecting any difficulties. We are better organized for moving it along than ever before. At 6:00 on January 15, 1992 we will be holding a meeting in the Reeves Building, Largeg Conference Room, 2000 14th Street, N.W. We will show a thirty minute video which further explains the concept of Proposition One. This tape is the first in an intended series of Proposition One promotional videos. It is narrated by Dr. Ted Taylor, an ex-MAD nuclear physicist now on our Board of Advisors, and features a political/economic history of the Bomb with appearances by leading figures. This video is targeted at spiritually, and particularly christian oriented people. Hopefully, however, even the most devout atheist would find it thought provoking. It's fast moving, informative, and funny, in a sick sort of way. We think it also makes a clear connection between international military expenditures and domestic economic problems. In order for this idea to succeed it will need to be the subject of a broad and enthusiastic movement. This video is the best devise we've come up with for explaining and stimulating interest in the idea. After the video we will be answering questions, discussing stratagies for collection of the requisite number of signatures necessary to qualify the measure for the D.C. election in 1992. Hope to see you on January 15, 1992. For Unity and Harmony,
