Sixteen persons were arrested yesterday and charged with obstructing
traffic outside the White House during a demonstration against U.S. military
involvement in Central America, authorities reported.
U.S. Park Police said the demonstration was held in Lafayette Square under
the sponsorship of the Washington Area Coalition to End the U.S. War in
Central America.
