810605a Dr. Spock, 11 Others Are Arrested After Staging White Mouse Protest Twelve persons were arrested yesterday on the White House grounds after they refused to leave while they prayed to protest budget cuts sought by the Reagan Administration. A spokesman for the Secret Service said seven men and five woemn were charged with unlawful entry and failure to leave the White House grounds in the 12:30 p.m. incident. The protest occurred when the dozen, who were part of a group on a public tour of the White House, stopped at the end of the tour at the North Portal. There they knelt in prayer and refused to move on. Among those arrested was Dr. Benjamin M. Spock, pediatrician and author who was prominent in the anti-nucleardemonstrations of the 1970s. According to organizers of yesterday's protest, similar demonstrations are scheduled at the White House throughout June in an effort to focus attention on the Reagan administration's proposed budget cuts.
