Dear ones-- 
A member of our larger church community has initiated a prayer vigil in front of the White House on Tuesday noon, 12--1 PM.  Last week she called for a new vision for U.S. as we walked an oval pattern in front of the White House, and for no war on Iraq. 
Would you join us in prayer during that hour, that the restraining forces of our God might restrain the forces now moving toward war, and that the Spirit might move our vacationing president in a direction other than more war.

PS Some of are going to wear a black arm band every day as a sign of mourning for what's happening in our nation.  "Would that we knew the things that make for peace."
