Proposition One
INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT
FOR PROPOSITION ONE
Internationally, support for the idea has come from
and activists. A grant from Ploughshares Canada
enabled us to send out 11,000 letters announcing the success in
Washington DC, and to produce several hundred copies of our
latest videotape, "Proposition One: Reinventing Government."
Gensuikyo (the Council Against A&H Bombs) in Japan invited a
Proposition One speaker to share the good news at a peace
conference in November 1994.
Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world have
signed petitions outside the White House since 1987.
Countries around the world have declared themselves
. The issues of a comprehensive test ban
treaty (CTB) and the nuclear non-proliferations (NPT)
ripened in 1995, the 50th anniversary of the Hiroshima and
Nagasaki bombings. At long last, global nuclear disarmament has
a real chance for success.
