DEDICATION
This work is offered to humanity and God in memory of all
those who have died by radiation poisoning, victims of Hiroshima,
Nagasaki, Bikini, Three Mile Island*, Chernobyl, [Fukushima added 2011], ?, ? ... that
there may be no more nuclear tragedy.
It was dedicated December 8, 1987, to Norman Mayer and
John Lennon, two peace workers who died abruptly on the same month
and day (though different years) ... to the world's discredit....
to William Thomas, prophet, philosopher, beloved friend (to
all), without whom it never could have been conceived....
to Concepcion Picciotto, a peace worker who was not depicted
in this work by her own request, but who is such an integral figure
in the real Peace Park that she must be mentioned, for the sake of
history....
to Charles Hyder and Jim Evans, who believed in miracles....
to Mitch Snyder and the people at the Community for Creative Nonviolence, who care about homeless people....
and to all people of conscience, living and dead, whose work
remains to inspire.
Feel free to photocopy (in its entirety). I am humbly sure
that whoever produces this play will do so reasonably, responsibly,
respectfully, creatively, and with love in their hearts.
* (The fictitious "Four Mile Island" in the play is a composite
of all U.S. nuclear facilities which have leaked radiation.)
