SUNRISE
HARMONY

and the
Ragtag Band

Sunrise showed up in Lafayette Park in the fall of 1986, during Charles Hyder's epic fast for nuclear disarmament.

Sunrise was a street musician. He began teaching others to play guitars and sing, and the park filled with music. Others who joined the vigil for months or years, thanks to Sunrise's songs, were Brett Hamrick ("Song"), Philip Joseph ("Mojo"), Connie Henschel from Germany, and Karin Love Cartwright.
