NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Temporary Closure Regarding Lafayette Park, Portions of H Street
Siewalk, The White House Sidewalk, an East Executive Avenue
The central portion of Lafayette Park, portions of H Street
sidewalk, the White House sidewalk, and East Executive Avenue
will be closed to the public, including demonstrators on Friday,
April 23, from approximately 12 noon, through Sunday, April 25,
at approximately 6 p.m. These Times and locations may be adjusted
at the discretion of the United States Park Police. A map illustrating
the closed area is identified on the reverse of this notice.
Persons demonstrating or otherwise using the portion of
the park to be closed should remove themselves and any personal
property from the area.
This action is necessary to provide security to the President
and to the visiting heads of state for the NATO 50th Anniversary
Summit.
The National Park Service appreciates the public's cooperation
in this matter.
