NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The west portion of Lafayette Park which was closed to the public and demonstrators use beginning Sunday, July 28, 1996, at approximately 6:00 a.m. has now been amended and will be closed until Friday, August 2, at approximately 6:00 a.m.

A map illustrating the closed area is identified on the reverse of this notice.

Persons demonstrating or otherwise using these park areas should remove themselves and any personal property from the closed area.

This action is necessary to provide security to the President and a visiting Head of State.
