NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The entire southeast and southwest portions of Lafayette Park, and the Pennsylvania Avenue sidewalk along Jackson Place as depicted on the reverse, will be closed to the public and demonstrators' use on Thursday, May 19, 1994, beginning at 9:00 a.m., and ending on Thursday, May 19 at 4:00 p.m., for a visiting Head of State.

Persons demonstrating or otherwise using these park areas should remove themselves and any personal property from these areas. You may, if you wish, leave your demonstration signs during the closure. However, the National park Service cannot accept responsibility for your personal property.

These actions are necessary to provide for secure routes of access and security for visiting dignitaries.
