NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The entire southeast and southwest sidewalks of Lafayette Park, excluding the segment of the center portion as described on the reverse, and the entire sidewalk from Pennsylvania Avenue along Jackson Place to "H" street as described, will be closed to the public and demonstrators' use on Saturday, October 23, 1993, beginning at 1:00 p.m., and ending at 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 27, 1993, for a visiting Head of State.

Persons demonstrating or otherwise using these park areas should remove themselves and any personal property from these areas. You may, if you wish, leave your demonstration signs during the closure. However, the National park Service cannot accept responsibility for your personal property.

These actions involving extra ordinary measures are necessary to provide for secure routes of access and security for visiting dignitaries.
