In ceremonies held at headquarters on Wednesday, January 19,
seven Force members were awarded Chief's Certificates for their
actions during the Washington Monument siege of December 8, 1982.
Accepting their awards were Major William McQueeney, Lt. Ronald
Miller, Officers Frederick Howard and Donald Jelinek, and
Detectives Thomas Moyer and Kenneth Green. Sgt. Herman Cooper
will accept his award at a later date.
