UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
UNITED STATES
-versus- CR 87-63
PHILIP JOSEPH
MEMORANDUM
This defendant would remind the Court that, subsequent
to his conviction after a bench trial held by this Court on December
14, 1987 he filed a motion for a new trial.
The basis for that motion was the newly discovered evidence
that the National Park Service would issue permits for "intermittant
sleeping" during the course of a demonstration.
To the best of defendant's knowledge the Court never ruled
on the motion for a new trial.
Respectfully submitted,
Philip Joseph
