UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

             v. CRIM. No. 87-62
                                          JUDGE RICHEY
WILLIAM THOMAS

GOVERNMENT'S OPPOSITION TO DEFENDANT'S
MOTION FOR A COPY OF TRANSCRIPT

The United States, through its attorney, the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, respectfully opposes defendant William Thomas' Motion for a Copy of Transcript. In support of this opposition, the government submits:

Defendant has made no factual assertion which justify the perparation of the transcript for purposes of sentencing. Defendant's conduct is not in dispute, and the issues at sentencing do not involve considerations for which a transcript would be required.

WHEREFORE, we request defendant's motion for a copy of the Transcript be DENIED.

RESPECTFULLY
SUBMITTED
