Eight demonstrators were arrested yesterday at noon on Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House grounds by U.S. Park Police for demonstrating without a permit.

The demonstrators, who were told to leave or face arrest, refused to leave the area, Park Police said. They were arrested and later issued citations and released from custody.
