WASHINGTON January 25, 2000 (Reuters) - A cross country skier skies
in front of the White House during a heavy snowfall in Washington
January 25. Snowfall totals of 14 inches were forecast for Virginia
and the Washington suburbs after an unexpectedly fast-moving
storm charged up the East Coast today, with more than a foot
of wind-blown snow, closing airports and thousands of schools.
