A group of Negroes from the Mississippi Delta area tonight pitched tents and camped in Lafayette Square, across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House. A number of the campers stand in the grass between the tents and the tulip beds which ring the Square. The sign on the one tent reads "Houses instead of Tents."
