DECLARATION OF REASON
As the western world enters what it calls the third millennium,
technical applications present a practical method of quickly disseminating
accurate information to virtually every person in the nation;
REVEALING THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF-EVIDENT:
Prerequisite to democracy is an informed responsible electorate.
Secrecy feeds ignorance. An ignorant electorate breeds
fear and hatred, manifest by violence; a violent society is chaotic
and unhappy.
Honest responsible information encourages trust. Trust
minimizes fear, resulting in a less stressful, more enjoyable
society.
Because humanity does not live by sociological philosophy
alone, it is also necessary to consider the provision of recreation,
food, clothing, shelter, communication, transportation, education,
and health care ("economics").
Because the impact of human industry upon the ecosystem
becomes increasingly pronounced with the growth of population
and the short-sighted application of technology, to insure future
generations a habitable environment, it is, or very soon will
be, incumbent upon humanity to strike a sane balance with material
reality in the procurement of its economic desires.
Wisdom is the most economical application of knowledge
and resources. Wise procurement, production and distribution promote
a more pleasant society.
It is not possible to simultaneously serve a wise and a
foolish administrator of knowledge and resources, because, all
justifications aside, one either loves the One and detests the
other, or detests the One and loves the other.
Eleven score years ago a group consisting of idealistic
as well as self-interested or pragmatic individuals brought forth
the United States of America, which is widely believed to have
been a revolutionary social structure. The idealists among them
claimed it was founded on the principles that "all men are
created equal, and endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."
Some years later, "We the People ... in order to form
a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,
provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and
secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,"
drafted the Constitution of the United States. Practically the
Constitution is only a social compact, written by mortals, trying
to codify the structure of the United States government. This
turned out to be not a true democracy, but a republican form of
government, particularly subject to oligarchic manipulation.
Arguably, in a world where people in Georgia and people
in Maine needed to make joint decisions over distances of many
days' travel, it was as close to democracy as technology would
permit. Representatives were delegated to meet in a central location,
to represent the interests of their constituents. The substance
of that representation would be embodied in legislation, to dictate
the nation's finances, postal service, courts, culture, commerce,
crime, declare war, and maintain the armed services. A presidency
was established to administer the laws made by representation,
and to act as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. A judicial
system was constituted as a legal check on the powers of the legislative
and executive branches.
Now, as devoted stewards of the earth, to secure a pleasant
prosperous social environment for humanity's children, responsible
people must institute governments which actually derive their
just powers from the consent of a well informed electorate. Since,
as is evident by the present state of the world, government has
become destructive of these ends, it is the duty of responsible
people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government,
laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers
in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their
safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that government long established
should not be changed for light and transient causes and accordingly
all experience has shown that people are more disposed to suffer,
while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing
the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train
of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object,
evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is
their right, it is their duty to throw off such government and
to provide new guards for their future security. To prove the
status quo to which this nation has deteriorated, let facts be
submitted to a cynical, media-manipulated world.
WHEREAS, unless the federal government of the United
States of America is constrained by the United States Constitution
to limited jurisdiction, and limited power; it becomes a lawless
government, capable of the most egregious excesses of any regime
or gang of common thugs in human history; and
WHEREAS, the federal government of the United States
of America has enacted laws and regulations, in voluminous number,
through popularly unknown Executive Orders, regulations, and legislation
passed, often questionably, without the knowledgeable consent
of the people, usurping the Constitutional authority of the sovereign
states, reducing the sovereign citizens of this country to ill-informed
consumer/wage-slaves, who must pay the consequences of an international
state of corporate irresponsibility, and
WHEREAS, these myriad laws and regulations have
resulted in a society which imprisons a greater percentage of
its population than any other nation on earth while increasing
numbers of its citizens live in mounting fear, hopelessness, hunger,
and homelessness; and
WHEREAS, through an unconstitutional and unlawfully
enacted "income tax," the federal government has created
a "carrot and stick" that has seduced and coerced the
elected officials of the several states to submit to the unlawful
incursion of the federal government and its agents into the sovereign
territory of each state, as a trade-off for the receipt of these
ill-gotten proceeds; and
WHEREAS, the people of this country have been exploited
and subjugated to an unlawful authority by an unlawful system
of loans from a private banking institution, known as the Federal
Reserve, and been forced, even at gunpoint, to submit to an unlawful
federal income tax which is not and never has been within the
authority of the federal government to enact or enforce, all to
the benefit of private individuals and corporations at the expense
of the liberty, lives, and property of the citizens of this nation;
and
WHEREAS, the exploitation and subjugation of the
nation to the corporate state of mammon has been accomplished
by creating confusion and division amongst the populace through
saturation dissemination of distorted accounts by domestic and
international media, financed by commercials promoting soap, toothpaste,
mechanical gadgets of every description, processed foods, insurance
policies, middlemen and other forms of socially acceptable parasitism
dependent upon the perversion of truth "to make a living"
; and
WHEREAS, this national exploitation and subjugation
has gained acceptance through the propagation of an ideology of
"Peace through Strength," the practical application
of which reveals commitment to the premise that soap, toothpaste,
mechanical gadgets, processed foods, insurance policies, middlemen
and other forms of socially acceptable parasitism are of greater
value than "lower forms" of human life, suitable for
sacrifice upon the corporate altar of foreign war and/or domestic
police action; and
WHEREAS, persons acting under color of law as federal
agents, under the direction of those claiming to be elected officials
sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States,
but with the treasonous intent to confuse and divide the populace
against itself, have infringed upon the rights of citizens to
harmlessly exercise religious belief, express thoughts critical
of corporate values, and to freely assembly in public places,
through the promulgation of capricious regulations; and
WHEREAS, persons acting under color of law as federal
agents, under the direction of those claiming to be elected officials
sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States,
but with the treasonous intent to betray the populace to the physical
domination of armed might, have infringed upon the right of the
people to keep and bear arms, have conducted unlawful warrantless
house-to-house searches and seizures, have assaulted and killed
sovereign citizens of this country on the false pretense of "gun
control," "child abuse," "the war on drugs"
and a plethora of unlawful statutes enacted to unlawfully control
the lives and liberty of the citizens of this country and fertilize
a growing home gulag industry; and
WHEREAS, elections are now controlled, if not through
outright technological manipulation, by the more subtle power
of committees and lobbies wielding the most money to obtain electoral
votes or sway the nomination of candidates and persuade the enactment
of legislation that has made it impossible for the common citizen
to participate as a candidate in an election or for the vote of
the common citizen to be meaningful; and
WHEREAS, politicians, selected through the corporate-controlled
electoral process, are actively engaged in further perversion
of the fundamental law of the United States, with proposals to
balance their own misapplication of knowledge and resources, by
diminishing health, education and social welfare, while continuing
to produce extraneous weapons of mass over-kill, and to turn the
First Amendment inside out; and,
WHEREAS, short of incarcerating an eve-growing percentage
of the population, politicians have proven incapable or unwilling
to provide moral leadership, or resolve the underlying economic
and sociological forces which fuel the pro- and anti-abortion
debate currently dividing the country, and instead
of balancing the competing demands of a growing population and
the profit motives of the corporate state, continue promoting
the mistaken concepts that freedom is money and life is subservient
to financial interests; and,
WHEREAS, it being self-evident that the current
system of law has reduced this civilization to a state of control
by disinformation and fear; it is,
THEREFORE, time that the conscious citizens of this
nation cast off the convenient forms of slavery to which disinformation
and fear have accustomed them and to establish new safeguards,
through agreement on harmonious visions of a mutual reality, that
will enable human progeny to survive past the coming century.
