3rd African lPPNW Regional Meeting, Nairobi/Kenya, 28-30 March 1996

The programme includes: strategies of conflict resolution with regard to regional conflicts in Africa (Rwanda, Sudan); destruction of health care structures during war (the case of Angola and Uganda); violence in family and social environment; violation of human rights; current situation in southern Africa. There will also be a Forum "Health for All by 2000 - A Dream of Reality". In addition, a "post conference tour/safari" is offered. Especially invited to the Meeting are lPPNW members from "rich" countries. Registration fee: for physicians: US$350; for students:US$50

Main theme: Peace and Health. The Role of Health Professionals in Conflicts.

Please note that the convenor of the Working Group on the Newsletter is not Pamela Meidell since she has been coopted member of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Network's Clearinghouse.
